The process begins with an assembled inspection of gaps and panel flow among other areas of potential concern.
The project is disassembled and documented through photos and organized through the “bag and tag” process.
The body is placed on a rotisserie and sent out to our local media blasting specialists unless it requires to be done on our premises.
The body is DA sanded after media blasting and spray with 2 coats of epoxy primer (gray or black).
Rust damage is assessed at this point and dealt with in the best manner (rust repair or sheet metal replacement).
After sheet metal is up to par, the panels are seam sealed to factory specs.
The body is painted according to owner specs.
If factory paint is the goal the body can be painted on the rotisserie unless panel flow and gapping is required for a better than factory appearance. Then the body is placed onto the frame for normal load and positioning of all panels and body worked accordingly.
All parts and pieces are replaced and/or repaired to appear as they did when they rolled off the assembly line.
We work very closely with the owner(s) to identify and replicate the desired steps in a true restoration.
